Art & Strings: Imagination (Willy Wonka Theme)

Step into a world of color, candy, and creativity! Art & Strings Camp blends group music-making with visual storytelling, as students create an original stop-motion film inspired by the whimsical world of Willy Wonka. Throughout the week, students will learn music from the Wonka soundtrack, develop their own scenes through drawing and painting, and bring everything together in a final film + showcase.

What’s included

What students will do (the fun part)
• Group music: ensemble skills + musical confidence using Wonka soundtrack themes
• LogicPro / sound exploration: students explore musical color and texture through digital electronic soundscapes
• Art + stop-motion creation: draw/paint characters, props, and backgrounds to build your story
• Compose & assemble: students create short musical ideas to match scenes, then combine everything into one final film
• Final showcase: music + film premiere + art display for family and friends

Daily flow (sample schedule)
Part 1 — Music (morning):
• warm-ups + rhythm games
• group music + introduction to LogicPro
• small group/solo features + musical storytelling
Part 2 — Art & Film (afternoon):
• drawing/painting session (characters + scenes)
• stop-motion planning + shooting
• edit + assemble scenes into the final film

FAQ
Does my child need to play an instrument?
No — we welcome multiple instruments, and we also have a creative sound role for students who don’t play an instrument yet.
Will lunch be provided?
Lunch is not provided. Please pack a lunch for your child each day. We will have a designated lunch break for students to eat, relax, and recharge!
Do students need to bring materials to camp?
Besides lunch, nope! We will provide all the materials needed for this camp.
Will students take something home?
Yes — the final stop-motion film (digital) plus artwork created during camp.
