A note from Jennifer

I believe that true growth, in music and in life, comes from a foundation of support, both soft and firm, as we need it. Parental guidance, a teacher who truly cares, and a student who is open and willing to learn and tackle the hard things—together, this is the outline for growth and discovery. Consistent, dedicated practice is essential; there are no shortcuts to success, but there are methods and approaches that allow us to achieve extraordinary things. With focused methods, hard work, heart, and persistence, violin and music become a pathway to discovering who we truly are.

Curiosity is key to expanding our minds; the more open your mind is, the bigger your world becomes. Regularly checking in on our goals and mindset keeps us on a steady path. Practicing with intention—what I call “smart practice”—builds a foundation for becoming not only a better violinist but a more fulfilled, joyful human being. Learning anything is rarely a straight path; there are ups and downs and seemingly still moments. But for those who never give up, there’s a deep, unspoken connection with oneself and the world.

Having a grateful heart for what we have and thankful to others grounds us on this journey. And through it all, I believe in keeping a sense of wonder alive. Never forget the kid within you; that’s where passion and joy are born.

I believe in you!

Happy practicing,
